The mission of the Women's Fund of Monterey County is to effect social change as an advocate, catalyst, convener and funder to improve the quality of life for women and girls.

What we do:

Funding Strategically

We work with existing organizations and community-based alliances to make strategic investments in the lives of women and girls.

Focusing Locally

Our grants from the Women's Fund are made specifically to benefit the women and girls in Monterey County.

Improving Outcomes

We support and encourage the success of women and girls as vital to building a brighter future for our entire community.

Increasing Visibility

We fund research like the Women and Girls Report First Glance, the first publication to examine the quality of life of Monterey County women and girls, and distribute it throughout the county.

Participating Donors

Our fully engaged, hands-on, high-impact donors determine how their gifts will be used.

Strong Leadership

Our Leadership Council includes business owners, professors, attorneys, civic organizers, social service providers and health professionals.

Innovative Projects

The Women’s Fund is committed to identifying and supporting innovative efforts to improve the well-being of women and girls, including Monterey County’s first youth-lead action research project focused on girls’ health, Girl's Health in Girl's Hands , and the first business education and micro-loan fund for women, the Women’s Business Education and Loan Program.
